What are the costs?

How does it work?

When you hire our event medical support services, our team will be on-site to provide immediate medical assistance in case of emergencies or health-related issues. We work closely with event organizers to develop a comprehensive medical plan. Typically, our team of EMTs will tie in to event staff radio systems for quick response to emergencies anywhere on site. We also station ourselves in an accessible area for attendees to approach us for any non-emergency medical needs.

What services do you offer?

Our event medical support services include first aid, emergency medical care, and coordination with local emergency services if needed. All medical staff members carry a minimum of EMT-Basic certification through the state of North Carolina or through NREMT. Teams are required to carry all equipment necessary for quick deployment of basic life saving services. For an additional cost, our team will keep an ambulance on-site for specialized medical support and patient isolation.

At this time, BCRS does not offer transport services for medical emergencies. If transportation is necessary, we will coordinate with local emergency services, maintain basic life support services with the patient as needed, and handle patient transfer of care when local services arrive.

Buncombe County Rescue Squad regularly hires basic EMTs as part of its community-building efforts in supporting the local emergency medical services system. Whether you’re looking for occasional/part-time opportunities or a full-time entry-level role as a basic EMT, BCRS is the place to start! As part of our staff, you’ll also enjoy state-sponsored advanced training as you progress in your journey to advanced EMT or paramedic.
