Advanced Mountain Rescue Expertise with MRT3
Buncombe County Rescue Squad is also the headquarters for Mountain Rescue Team 3, a state-sponsored specialized team of rescue technicians with advanced skills in traversing steep terrain and rescuing victims in difficult vertical environments.
We’re Seeking Volunteers
The search and rescue team is 100% volunteer-based, and we’re always looking for new team members. As a volunteer member, you’ll take part in rewarding, life-saving opportunities that get you outdoors as part of an elite team of technical rescuers. Members also gain access to state-sponsored trainings that enable you to earn certifications in technical rescue, emergency medical services, and more.
